So, you’ve decided a steam shower would be a perfect addition to your home, but what do you need to know?  Firstly, the Mr Steam UK team love talking about steam so don’t be afraid to just pick up the phone and start the conversation.

It would be great if you could provide us with some information to help understand what equipment would suit you best, so what does that look like?

WHAT INFORMATION WILL WE NEED?

The internal dimensions of the steam shower or steam room is essential to calculate the right size generator for you, so width, length, and height.  Materials vary in thermal conductivity and porosity so be sure to share that with us, and if your chosen material changes along the way, that’s no problem, we can just re-calculate so we land on the perfect amount of steam!

Check if the power supply in your home is single-phase or three-phase, the good news is, either way, the price is the same we just want to ensure it all works perfectly once your new equipment is installed.

HOW DO I CHOOSE WHICH CONTROLLER I NEED?

We have a selection of controllers that range from a standard on/off, temperature control and timer to sophisticated touch-screen controllers loaded with apps.

HOW DO I CHOOSE?

The iTempo controller is perfect for those wanting to enjoy steam without any additional therapies. It is available in round or square and comes with a matching steam head.

If you fancy something a little more luxurious then you we do have the Linear Steam Head which looks great and provides a more gentle entry of steam. This is also perfect for small spaces as well as the use alongside large generators (sound reduction).

For those wanting to enjoy aromatherapy, Chromatherapy (light therapy) or music/audio, the iSteamX is loaded with apps such as Netflix and Spotify and is touch screen. So, you can enjoy your favourite show or playlist while you steam!

If your shower cubicle is already in place, it may be difficult to feed cables behind your wall. The AirTempo controller may be the solution in this case, as it works via Bluetooth and is completely wireless.

CAN I ACCESS THE CONTROLLER REMOTELY?

Yes! The Steam Linx is a web app module so you can control your steam shower from your smart phone or Alexa. Perfect for when you want the steam waiting for you or to save 2 trips to the bathroom!

WHAT IF I WANT TO ADD SOME OF THESE THERAPIES AFTER I’VE INSTALLED MY STEAM SHOWER?

Planning ahead is crucial. With the exception of the Aromasteam, it will NOT be possible to install these components to a completed shower/steam room.

As mentioned above, it may be possible to install the steam linx.
